In this Privacy Policy, the expressions "we", "us" and "our" are a reference to Puretec.
We manufacture and sell a range of innovative water filtration solutions for domestic and commercial applications (Puretec products).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information is collected, retained, used and disclosed by us and how we manage that personal information. We value your privacy and will comply with the Privacy Act 2020.
This Privacy Policy relates to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information you may provide to us through use of our website, social media accounts, ordering or using Puretec products, or any other engagement that you have with us.

Overseas transfer of personal information
Your personal information may be disclosed to overseas recipients such as to our support personnel located overseas and where our third party contractors or providers involved in the provision of the Puretec products to you are located overseas.
As Puretec distributes its products in Australia, your personal information may also be transferred to recipients located in Australia. Australia has personal information and data protection laws which protect personal information in a way which is at least substantially similar to the New Zealand Privacy Principles, and there will be mechanisms available to you to enforce protection of your personal information under Australian law.
In the event that your personal information is disclosed to overseas recipients who do not have personal information and data protection laws which protect personal information in a way which is at least substantially similar to the Australian Privacy Principles, we will take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the New Zealand Privacy Principles in relation to the information.
GDPR
In some circumstances, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides additional protection to individuals located in Europe. The fact that you may be located in Europe does not, however, on its own entitle you to protection under the GDPR. Our website does not specifically target customers located in the European Union and we do not monitor the behaviour of individuals in the European Union or hold personal information of individuals in the European Union, and accordingly the GDPR does not apply.
How do we hold your personal information and keep it secure?
We keep your personal information stored in both electronic form (using our IT systems or the IT systems of third parties required to provide you with Puretec products and services), and in paper form (when it is provided to us or prepared by us in hard copy).
We may use some third party providers that provide data-storage related services, that may be located overseas.
We may combine or link personal information we hold about you to help us form a better understanding about you. For example, your purchase or event preferences based on previous purchase orders.
We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect and safeguard your personal information against unauthorised disclosure, loss or misuse. The electronic and procedural safeguards we have in place to manage security risks associated with your personal information include the use of antivirus software and protection, and secure premises. We will also only allow those who require it to have authorised access to your personal information and require them to treat personal information as confidential unless it is otherwise in the public domain.
Unfortunately, no data transmission can be totally secure, and we cannot guarantee unauthorised access to your personal information will not occur. Any personal information you provide us will be provided at your own risk. Provided that we take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to protect the information from misuse, interference and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, and subject to the mandatory operation of law, we are not liable for events arising from any unauthorised access to your personal information. Gaining access to your personal information and correcting it
You have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you. You also have the right to request correction to any of the personal information we hold about you.
If you would like details of the personal information that we hold about you in order to update it, correct it or for any other reason, please forward a written request to our Privacy Officer whose contact details are set out below.
Once a request has been made, the Privacy Officer will aim to contact you within 5 business days.
We will require you to satisfy identity validation procedures to prove that you are the individual requesting the personal information.

The Privacy Officer will treat any request or complaint respectfully and confidentially. Once a request or complaint has been made, the Privacy Officer will contact you within 5 business days. Your rights and choices regarding data and advertising
We may use “cookies” on our website, which may collect and store personal information about you. Cookies on the Puretec website are used for recording user preferences, tracking browsing behaviour to improve user experience and website performance and displaying relevant advertising to you.
You can manage how your personal information is used for personalised advertising by adjusting your browser settings to block cookies, using opt-out tools provided by advertising platforms, or managing your preferences through our cookie banner (if implemented). Changes to our privacy policy
We do not expect to make changes to our Privacy Policy regularly, however we reserve the right to do so at any time to reflect changes in the way we collect and manage your personal information and to accommodate for any changes required at law. Changes to our Privacy Policy will take effect when they are published on our website.
